Experience Bergisch tradition and history, craftsmanship and farming, as well as ecology up close in beautiful nature. Idyllically nestled among rolling meadows and fields, you will find original Bergisch houses, dismantled from their original locations and lovingly rebuilt in the open-air museum.

Whether farmhouse, rope-making workshop or blacksmith’s forge – you can watch everywhere or even join in. And in between, relaxing walks through the charming countryside await. Watch a farmer working the field with a plough – just like in the old days – or settle down in the grass for a picnic.

The museum restaurant “Lingenbacher Hof” offers traditional and regional dishes in a cosy atmosphere as well as a great beer garden. For the little ones, handcarts can be rented at the entrance.

Our tip: Take your time to explore the large open-air museum. In the museum restaurant you will find a selection of Bergisch dishes, and in Lindlar there is also a range of good excursion restaurants.
