Sustainability

To ensure that we can continue to enjoy the beautiful surroundings in the future, we place particular emphasis on sustainability. Our combined heat and power (CHP) plant converts gas into electricity for the PHÖNIX Hotel’s own use and also provides heating for the swimming pool, for example. In addition, photovoltaic systems are installed on our roofs, which convert solar power into energy.

To further reduce electricity consumption and thus protect the environment, we do not have minibars in any of the rooms. Instead, a vending machine is available on the middle floor. We are also trying to avoid using bath slippers, as these cause a drastic increase in our waste. However, should you not wish to bring your own bath slippers, we will have some available for you at reception. To save resources, our saunas switch off automatically after one hour of non-use. We are also already using LEDs for approximately 50 percent of our lighting. We will continue to expand this in the future.

In addition, our sauna switches off automatically after one hour of non-use. We also attach great importance to reducing paper consumption. Increasingly, our work at the PHÖNIX Hotel is paperless. We also pay close attention to waste separation and packaging reduction, which is why we offer a packaging-free breakfast buffet.
Local products from local suppliers are important to us, so we also pay attention to the environment and can support our surroundings.

And to top it all off, we were once again awarded the sustainability seal of the German Institute for Sustainability & Economics this year.
